About Sylvia

Hi everyone! I hold a Master’s degree in Psychology from St. Mary’s University, Minneapolis, Minnesota and am a licensed psychotherapist in the state of Wisconsin. I have 25 years of experience working in the mental health field. I also was certified as a hypnotist/hypnotherapist through the International Advancement of Regression and Research Therapy (IAART) San Diego, California. I later studied advanced hypnotherapuetic techniques through Cal Banyan and became certified as a 5th Path hynotherapist and a 7th Path instructor. I received training to become a Master Hypnotherapist and am certified through the National Guild of Hypnotists.

I have always been drawn to help those who struggle and I have enjoyed watching people move toward health and wholeness. Over the last 25 years, my compassion to help others has led me to hypnosis. I am excited to have this powerful tool to share with my clients.

About Randy

Hey folks, Thanks for visiting our website!!

I began my formal training in the field of Alcohol and Drug abuse. I am an International Certified Alcohol/Drug Counselor (I/CADIII). I have 25 years of experience working in a mental health setting helping adults, youth and families overcome the many effects of substance abuse. Over the last 25 years, I have enjoyed both program development as well as implementation of new programming. Hypnosis was a natural fit for me as I continued my commitment to help others.

I am a Certified Master Hypnotist through the Banyan Hypnosis Center and completed a four month internship with Cal Banyan. I am also Certified through the National Guild of Hypnotists. I am co-founder of A State of Mind Hypnosis and Training Center where I remain committed to bring state of the art hypnotherapeutic techniques to help people gain back control of their lives. I also hold a certification as a 5th Path Hypnotist and 7th Path Self Hypnosis Instructor.

Randy and Sylvia have always been interested in finding more efficient ways to help people move toward health and wholeness. This search eventually led them to the exploration of hypnosis as a possible tool. They have always believed in the power of the mind and particularly the subconscious mind and how it stores information and memories. They realized through counseling people, whether for mental health or substance abuse, that often-times their clients would have a hard time believing they were good people. Randy and Sylvia soon came to understand that the negative beliefs held in the subconscious mind was the reason they were unable to accept the positive input. The subconscious had a different take on it so to speak. The beauty of hypnosis is that those false beliefs can be removed. Randy and Sylvia are so happy to see it in action for their clients every day!!

Both Sylvia and Randy were attracted to hypnosis on a personal level as well. They have found that their personal journey has included using both 5th Path and 7th Path as a way to unlock any potential that may have been blocked and may have limited them. Sylvia states "As I continue to use 7th Path, I feel I am free to become and as a result have a greater balance in my life." Randy states "Because of using 5th Path and 7th Path in my life, I have a clearer purpose, balance and have been able to reduce the amount of stress in my life by sixty percent." They are very excited to bring hypnosis to their community and the world.

Together, Randy and Sylvia are proud and excited to be founders of A State Of Mind Hypnosis and Training Center.
